Purpose of the Study:

  • Twenty-eight healthy volunteers (14 male, 14 female) participated.
  • Maximum forward fingertip position and joint angles were measured using specialized equipment.
  • Functional reach models were used to estimate these parameters, including shoulder, knee, and ankle joint angles.

  • High correlation coefficients were observed between actual and estimated values for maximum forward fingertip position (0.93 standing, 0.86 kneeling).
  • Strong correlations were also found for shoulder joint angles (0.83 standing, 0.81 kneeling) and ankle/knee joint angles (0.73 standing, 0.72 kneeling).
  • These results indicate good agreement between measured and predicted data.

Conclusions:
