Summary

New research suggests that the standard cut-point for sedentary behaviour (SB) using accelerometers may not be accurate for all adults. Empirically derived thresholds show that sedentary time classification varies by day and work context.

Purpose of the Study:

  • * To empirically derive an optimal ActiGraph GT3X+ threshold for classifying sedentary behaviour in adults.
