One of the biggest health promotion and health awareness events to be run by a primary care trust took place in Crawley in West Sussex last month and was launched by local MP and ex-nurse Laura Moffat. The aim was to get local residents thinking about health and healthy lifestyles, and events included hand massage at a local supermarket, a walking stick 'MOT', guided health walks and healthy heart advice from nurses. Crawley PCT also sought residents' views on the way local health services should be run.
