Here comes congress

On two snowy days in February the RCN Forum for Nurses Working with Older People and the Mental Health and Older People Forum came together for a two-day strategy review and future planning event. Our strategy, Caring in Partnership: Older People and Nursing Staff Working Towards the Future ( RCN 2004 ), which was launched at congress last year, provides the framework that guides the work of both forums. We were honoured to have representatives from Better Government for Older People and the National Pensioners Convention present during the first day, helping the forums to identify issues and plan responsive work that will maximise the potential of older people.
