Abstract:
Until now, evaluations of patients with dementia have focused only on physical and mental aspects of their health, and have been determined by reports from their families and carers. However, thanks to a new tool developed by researchers at the Research Institute for the Care of Elderly (RICE) in Bath, healthcare workers can now learn how these patients themselves view the effects of treatment and care on their quality of life (QoL).
