Abstract:
There is strong evidence for early supported discharge after a stroke. This service development project used an interdisciplinary journal club to promote communication and identify the role of the nurse in an early supported discharge team. The team members were able to evaluate journal findings against the practice of their own team, which had been established after the closure of a stroke rehabilitation ward.
