Security and nurses' uniforms

It is a strange turnaround that uniforms, which were first introduced to protect from patient ills, may now need to be monitored to protect patients from unscrupulous bogus nurses. Following the recent baby abduction case in Nottingham where a child was handed over to a woman posing as a nurse, there have been renewed calls for nurses' uniforms to be less readily available. It is also suggested that it should be just as much an offence for a non-nurse to wear a nurse's uniform as it is for a civilian to pose in police or military attire.
