Abstract:
The update article published in this month's issue (page 479) provides a welcome overview of current thinking on the classification and management of chronic wounds. Over recent years, the author of this paper has played a pivotal role in promoting greater understanding of the complexities of wound healing and his published work offers clinicians an invaluable guide through the claims of dressings manufacturers, which all too often can lead the unsuspecting practitioner away from evidence-based practice.
