Association between N-desethylamiodarone/amiodarone ratio and amiodarone-induced thyroid dysfunction

The ratio of N-desethylamiodarone (DEA) to amiodarone (AMD) in serum can predict amiodarone-induced thyroid dysfunction. High DEA/AMD ratios indicate hyperthyroidism, while low ratios suggest hypothyroidism.
