Summary

GNAS2 gene variations are linked to childhood arrhythmia. Specific GNAS2 gene homozygotes (TT and GG) were more prevalent in children with severe arrhythmia, suggesting a correlation with disease severity.

  • To investigate the association between GNAS2 gene polymorphisms and the occurrence of arrhythmia in pediatric patients.
  • To determine if specific GNAS2 gene variants correlate with the severity of childhood arrhythmia.

  • A case-control study involving 89 children diagnosed with arrhythmia and 92 healthy controls.
  • Restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) was used to analyze GNAS2 gene polymorphisms in both groups.

  • No significant differences in overall GNAS2 genotype or allelic distribution were found between children with arrhythmia and controls.
