05:00Grade III Varicocele Surgical Treatment using Spermatic Vein-Superficial Abdominal Vein Shunt
1.9K
Here, we present a protocol for grade III varicocele surgical treatment that aims to rebuild the venous drainage of the spermatic cord by a spermatic vein-superficial abdominal vein shunt performed under the...

14:59Neuronavigation and Laparoscopy Guided Ventriculoperitoneal Shunt Insertion for the Treatment of Hydrocephalus
10.1K
Patient outcomes of ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt surgery, the mainstay treatment for hydrocephalus in adults, are poor due to high shunt failure rates. We present intraoperative footage of VP shunt insertion using neuronavigation and laparoscopy guidance, with the goal to reduce the risks of proximal and distal shunt catheter failures, respectively.

08:12Experimental Methods to Study Human Postural Control
10.0K
This article presents an experimental/analytic framework to study human postural control. The protocol provides step-by-step procedures for performing standing experiments, measuring body kinematics and kinetics signals, and analyzing the results to provide insight into the mechanisms underlying human postural...

12:18An Instrumented Pull Test to Characterize Postural Responses
11.4K
Impairment of postural reflexes, termed postural instability, is difficult to quantify. Clinical assessments such as the pull test suffer issues with reliability and scaling. Here, we present an instrumented version of the pull test to objectively characterize postural responses.

10:393D-Neuronavigation In Vivo Through a Patient's Brain During a Spontaneous Migraine Headache
18.7K
In this study, the authors report for the first time a novel 3D-Immersive & Interactive Neuronavigation (3D-IIN) through the impact of a spontaneous migraine headache attack in the μ-opioid system of a patient's brain in...

Shunt Admittances
482
Shunt admittances play a crucial role in the analysis of transmission lines, particularly for three-phase systems with neutral conductors. When a uniformly charged conductor is positioned above the Earth, it induces an equal but opposite charge on its surface. This interaction creates electric field lines between the conductor and the Earth.
To model this effect, the method of images is employed. This method involves replacing the Earth with an image conductor that mirrors the original...
