Ethmoidal craniopharyngiomas, rare tumors arising from Rathke pouch remnants, require thorough preoperative assessment. Endoscopic endonasal surgery offers a safe and effective treatment for these extracranial lesions, with no recurrence observed in this case.

Area of Science:

  • Neurosurgery
  • Otolaryngology
  • Pediatric Oncology

Background:

  • Craniopharyngiomas are typically pituitary tumors originating from Rathke pouch remnants.
  • Primary ethmoidal craniopharyngiomas are exceptionally rare, with limited prior reports.
  • These benign but aggressive tumors necessitate precise diagnostic and surgical approaches.
