Background:

• A 44-year-old patient with chronic refractory neurogenic constipation post-cerebral hemorrhage was treated with SNS.
• Pre-treatment Constipation Scoring System (CSS) score was 22/30.

Findings:

• Following SNS implantation, the CSS score decreased to 5/30.
• The patient achieved regular bowel movements (every 1-2 days) and reduced medication needs.
• Significant improvements in quality of life were reported.

Implications:

• SNS presents a potentially safe, effective, and cost-effective option for refractory NBD.
