Functional high-intensity training improves pancreatic β-cell function in adults with type 2 diabetes

This study shows that CrossFit functional high-intensity training (F-HIT) significantly improves pancreatic beta-cell function in adults with type 2 diabetes. The exercise intervention also reduced body fat while preserving lean mass.
