Circulating Adiponectin Levels Differ Between Patients with Multiple Myeloma and its Precursor Disease

Low levels of adiponectin, a hormone linked to obesity, may indicate a higher risk of developing multiple myeloma (MM). This study found lower adiponectin in patients with MM and its precursor, monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS).
