Effects of pedunculopontine nucleus stimulation on human bladder function

Bilateral pedunculopontine nucleus deep brain stimulation (DBS) in Parkinson's disease (PD) patients did not worsen bladder control. Bilateral PPN DBS slightly increased maximal bladder capacity without causing detrusor overactivity.
