Is Toxoplasma gondii infection protective against multiple sclerosis risk?

Toxoplasma gondii infection was less common in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patients. Infected MS patients showed lower disability and fewer relapses, suggesting a protective role for this parasitic infection in MS.
