Purpose of the Study:

  • To compare the acute physiological and perceptual responses to the 7-Minute Workout (7Min) against a time-matched session of cycling-based high-intensity interval exercise (HIIE).
  • To evaluate whether 7Min elicits responses comparable to true high-intensity interval exercise.

Main Methods:

  • Fourteen active men and women completed maximal oxygen uptake (V[Combining Dot Above]O2max) testing.
  • Participants then underwent two exercise sessions, completing either the 7Min workout or HIIE, separated by at least 48 hours.
