1Maxwell J. Mehlman, J.D., is a Distinguished University Professor, the Arthur E. Petersilge Professor of Law at the Case Western Reserve University School of Law, and also a Professor of Biomedical Ethics at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Yale Law School (New Haven, CT), and has obtained two bachelor's degrees, one from Reed College (Portland, OR) and one from Oxford University (Oxford, UK), which he attended as a Rhodes Scholar.
