Custom implants for temporomandibular joint (TMJ) reconstruction using direct metal laser sintering (DMLS) and computer numerical control (CNC) milling show successful clinical outcomes. Both techniques are viable for TMJ disorders, though DMLS implants may be more prone to fracture.
