Korean Sa-Ahm Acupuncture for Treating Canine Oral Fibrosarcoma

Observation:
- A nine-year-old Golden Retriever with oral fibrosarcoma received Sa-Ahm acupuncture and herbal treatment.
- Treatment focused on reinforcing Large-Intestine (LI) meridian qi, along with Small-Intestine and Liver meridian qi.
- Tumor necrosis began 8 months post-treatment and completed within 1 month.
Findings:
- Sa-Ahm acupuncture and herbal medicine resulted in complete necrosis of the oral fibrosarcoma.
- Karnofsky Performance Status remained high (80-100%) except during active necrosis (50%).
Implications:
- Sa-Ahm acupuncture combined with herbal treatment shows potential as a therapeutic option for canine oral fibrosarcoma.
- This integrative approach may improve quality of life for affected dogs.
- Further research into traditional Korean medicine for veterinary oncology is suggested.
