Interfaces and ventilator settings for long-term noninvasive ventilation in COPD patients

High-intensity noninvasive ventilation (NIV) for chronic hypercapnic COPD patients predominantly uses full-face masks (FFMs). Higher inspiratory positive airway pressure (IPAP) levels correlate with FFM use, while mask type did not impact NIV compliance or ventilation quality.
