Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the validity of three commercial youth activity trackers: Movband (MB), Sqord (SQ), and Zamzee (ZZ).
  • To assess tracker accuracy across different physical activity intensities and in free-living conditions.
  • To compare tracker performance against a research-grade accelerometer (ActiGraph GT3X+) and energy expenditure measurements.

  • Three phases of testing: orbital shaker, structured indoor activities, and 4-day free-living monitoring.
