Abstract:
Study about the manoeuvre of compression of the cervical groove, in parturient women, as mean of diagnosis of loops of the umbilical cord, around the fetal neck. The population was constituted by 132 parturients (58 primiparous and 74 multiparous), with a single fetus in cephalic presentation, during the stage of dilatation, with unbroken amniotic membranes and no clinical signs of fetal suffering. The data obtained give evidence of the efficiency of the manoeuvre for dettecting the presence of loops of the umbilical cord around the fetal neck.
