Retroviruses and lymphoproliferative disease

This article has provided an introduction to and a brief overview of recent developments in the investigation of retroviruses and their role in animal and human neoplasia. The sheer volume of new information concerning this subject is nearly overwhelming. We can only hope that this knowledge will eventually lead to major therapeutic advances.
