Radiation dose with digital breast tomosynthesis compared to digital mammography: per-view analysis

Digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) delivers a modest increase in radiation dose compared to digital mammography (FFDM). This small increase should not hinder DBT adoption, especially when using synthetic 2D images.
