Chikungunya: important lessons from the Jamaican experience.

The 2014 chikungunya virus (CHIKV) outbreak in Jamaica showed that current case definitions were poor predictors of infection. Broader definitions and standardized data collection are recommended for future CHIKV outbreaks.
