The pathophysiology and management of primary pulmonary hypertension

Primary pulmonary hypertension is a relatively rare disease with a poorly understood pathophysiology, limited therapeutic options, and a dismal prognosis. The advantages and disadvantages of different pharmacologic approaches for this condition are discussed in this article.
