Interleukin-1 beta (IL1B) -511 T>C gene polymorphism increases recurrent miscarriage risk. Conversely, Interleukin-6 (IL6) -634C>G gene polymorphism appears protective against recurrent miscarriage in Chinese women.

- The IL6 -634C>G polymorphism demonstrated a decreased risk of RM for both heterozygous (CG) (OR: 0.614; P<0.001) and mutant (GG) (OR: 0.414; P=0.001) genotypes.
Conclusions:
- The IL1B -511 T>C polymorphism is identified as a potential risk factor for recurrent miscarriage.
- The IL6 -634C>G polymorphism may confer a protective effect against the development of recurrent miscarriage.
