Summary

Treatments for dentin hypersensitivity (DH) can alter root dentin surface roughness, potentially increasing root caries risk. Brushing with desensitizing toothpaste significantly increased surface roughness and bacterial adhesion, unlike diode laser or fluoride varnish treatments.
