Submacular Hemorrhage: Visual Outcomes and Prognostic Factors

Polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV) is the most common cause of submacular hemorrhage (SMH). Neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) and poor initial vision are linked to worse visual outcomes in SMH patients.

- Limited visual outcomes are predicted by nAMD and poor initial visual acuity.
