Summary

Hyperreflective foci (HF) detected via spectral domain optical coherence tomography are prevalent in Best vitelliform macular dystrophy (BVMD). Increased HF correlate with disease progression and visual acuity decline, suggesting HF as a potential BVMD biomarker.
