Self-penile glans amputation: a report of two cases

• Case 2 involved a 46-year-old male with schizophrenia, also treated with stump plasty.

Findings:

• Both patients experienced minimal functional deficits post-surgery, primarily slight urinary stream disorders.
• Stump plasty demonstrated effectiveness in managing self-penile amputation at the glans.

Implications:

• Stump plasty is a viable and recommended surgical approach for glans self-amputation.
• The procedure is characterized by its simplicity, speed, minimal technical demands, and low complication rate.
