Summary

  • To evaluate the efficacy and outcomes of temporary iodine-125 brachytherapy for progressive metastatic brain lesions.

  • Stereotactic implantation of high-activity iodine-125 sources in 14 patients with metastatic brain lesions.
  • Brachytherapy was used at recurrence or as an adjuvant boost after external radiotherapy.
