Sporadic Fundic Gland Polyps and Gastric Acid Suppression Level

Fundic gland polyps (FGPs) are common in patients using proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). This study found no link between FGPs and gastric acidity levels, suggesting other mechanisms may be involved.

- The incidence of dysplasia in FGPs is rare and its clinical significance is unknown.
- No correlation was found between FGPs and gastric acid control or PPI dosage, indicating a need for further research into underlying mechanisms.
