Summary

Deep brain stimulation (DBS) of the ventral intermediate nucleus (Vim) significantly reduced voice tremor amplitude by 80% in essential tremor (ET) patients. This treatment offers a potential therapeutic benefit for improving quality of life in individuals with ET-related vocal tremor.
