Alterations in B Cell Compartment Correlate with Poor Neutralization Response and Disease Progression in HIV-1

In HIV-1 infected children, high B Lymphocyte Stimulator (BLyS) levels correlate with poor viral neutralization. Reducing BLyS levels after antiretroviral therapy (ART) improved B cell function and viral neutralization in progressors.
