Longitudinally extensive transverse myelitis after Campylobacter jejuni enteritis

Campylobacter jejuni infection can trigger Guillain-Barré syndrome by attacking nerves. This case shows C. jejuni can also cause transverse myelitis, an inflammation of the spinal cord, via similar immune responses.
