  • A combination model including demographics and complement analytes (C3, C4, C5, TCC, C1inh, FHR125, CR1) differentiated FEP from controls with an AUC of 0.79.
  • Individually, only the terminal complement complex (TCC) showed significant difference.

  • Complement system dysregulation is present in FEP, supporting an immune/inflammatory component.
  • Biological markers could aid in stratifying FEP cases for anti-inflammatory therapies.
