  • Data from 1315 uveitis patients were analyzed from Alexandria and Sohag University Hospitals (May 2010 - March 2017).

  • Anterior uveitis was the predominant type in both Upper (34.7%) and Lower Egypt (38.2%).
  • Bilateral uveitis was more frequent in Upper Egypt (56.6%) than Lower Egypt (43.6%).
  • Pediatric cases represented approximately 18% in both regions, with specific diagnoses achieved in over 67% of cases.

Conclusions:

  • Geographical location within Egypt influences uveitis presentation and characteristics.
  • These findings highlight the need for region-specific approaches to uveitis management.
