[Experience with the work of centralized cytologic laboratories in the Byelorussian S.S.R]

The experience of amalgamated cytological laboratories in the Byelorussian SSR with mass screening for non-tumorous lesions and carcinoma of cervix uteri is discussed. The high predictive value of cytological procedures of detection of dysplasia and early cervical cancer was demonstrated. It is stressed that cases revealing moderate or pronounced dysplasia should undergo an all-round examination.
