Nerve sonography to detect peripheral nerve involvement in vasculitis syndromes

Sonography can detect nerve involvement in vasculitic neuropathy. Enlarged arm nerves, proximal to compression sites, are a sensitive and specific indicator of this inflammatory condition.

Conclusions:
- Sonographic findings of enlarged arm nerves proximal to compression sites, with a normal brachial plexus, suggest a characteristic pattern for vasculitic neuropathy.
