  • A prospective monocentric observational cohort study included 104 patients (52 seeking rhinoplasty, 52 not).
  • The FACE-Q Satisfaction with Nose and Satisfaction with Nostrils scales were administered.
  • Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was used to determine cut-off scores.

  • Statistically significant differences in satisfaction were found between groups for both scales (P < .001).
  • A cut-off score of 47 on the Satisfaction with Nose scale showed high sensitivity (96.2%) and specificity (86.5%).
  • A cut-off score of 64 on the Satisfaction with Nostrils scale demonstrated high sensitivity (94.2%) but lower specificity (53.8%).

Conclusions:

  • This study provides the first normative data for the FACE-Q rhinoplasty module.
  • The established normal scores and cut-offs can enhance clinical analysis and support therapeutic indications in rhinoplasty.
  • These findings have significant implications for both clinical practice and future research in facial plastic surgery.
