Using PROMIS for measuring recovery after abdominal surgery: a pilot study.

The PROMIS Physical Function (PROMIS-PF) short form demonstrated strong validity and responsiveness for assessing postoperative recovery in abdominal surgery patients. The PROMIS Ability to Participate in Social Roles and Activities (PROMIS-APS) showed less consistent results.
