Risk of epilepsy after a single seizure in multiple sclerosis

Patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) have a 51.4% risk of epilepsy after a first seizure, higher than controls. Secondary progressive MS and status epilepticus (SE) increase this risk, warranting further investigation and potential early intervention.
