Visual and brain stem auditory evoked responses in opioid dependence

Opioid dependence impairs brain function, significantly reducing visual evoked response (VER) amplitude and delaying brain stem auditory evoked response (BAER) wave latencies. These findings suggest compromised neural pathways in opioid-dependent individuals.
