Genetic polymorphisms in immunoglobulin G (IgG) Fc receptors (FcγR) are linked to generalized early-onset periodontitis (G-EOP) susceptibility in Japanese individuals. The FcγRIIIb-NA2 allele and FcγRIIIa-158F may increase the risk for G-EOP.
