[A rare complication after electrode insertion for epidural stimulation--report of a clinical case]

Exposition of clinic case. The Authors present a complication that occurred after inserting an epidural electrode stimulator. They briefly present the physiological assumptions on which the method was based specifying the indication and mode of implant. The clinical case presented refers to a rare complication: the breakage of the electrode stimulator by compression from contiguous spiny processes. The substitution of the broken electrode did not lead to excessive problems. The success was complete regarding analgesic function.
