Effect of plasma component transfusion on conventional coagulation screening tests

Fresh-frozen plasma (FFP) transfusions showed a statistically significant reduction in International normalized ratio (INR), particularly in patients with higher pre-transfusion INR values. Further scrutiny is needed for prophylactic FFP use in mild coagulation derangements.
