Polygenic link between blood lipids and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis

High levels of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and total cholesterol (TC) are linked to an increased risk of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). This study suggests a causal relationship between elevated LDL-C and TC and the development of ALS.
